Choosing an operator and working together

How to compare drone operator quotations

The cheapest quote is not always the best value. A fair comparison starts with the same brief and a clear understanding of what each operator will actually deliver.

Last updated:

Send the same brief

Give every operator the location, timing, purpose, required deliverable and file format. Without a common brief, two prices may cover completely different work.

  • place and preferred date
  • number of shots or site area
  • format and editing
  • intended use

Break down the price

Check whether travel, flight preparation, capture, selection, processing, revisions and delivery are included. Ask what happens if weather requires another visit.

Compare relevant experience

Look for work similar to your task. The drone model matters less than the operator’s ability to produce the required outcome and explain practical limitations.

Confirm working terms

Agree timing, cancellation rules, revisions, publication rights and delivery. Keep the arrangements in writing; dronAccess is not a party to them.

Key takeaways

Compare the same scope, total cost, relevant examples and usage terms—not only the final number.
