How to prepare an event for drone filming
The best event footage is created when the operator knows the schedule, unrepeatable moments and site conditions before arriving.

Share the schedule and priorities
Identify key times, expected attendance and moments that cannot be repeated. Appoint an on-site contact able to make quick decisions.
Show the venue in advance
Send a site plan and photographs or arrange a visit. Mark entrances, stage, parking, power lines, tall structures and staff-only areas.
Plan for participants
Agree how attendees will be informed about filming and how images may be used. The operator needs to know where crowds will form and which areas must remain clear.
Prepare a weather fallback
Weather may prevent some aerial shots. Agree priorities for ground footage, an alternative time or date and how changes affect the fee.
